Ride the Peace Train (J6PW Newsletter #4 - 2/3/2025)

My friend Stephen White, an artist who makes beautiful light sculptures, sent me a link to this lovely new world-collaborative recording of "Peace Train" by Cat Stevens. It's exactly what I needed after two weeks of utter tenseness riding the "Tyranny Express" of Donald Trump's illegal Administration. Listen to the recording right now if you need to loosen up!

Since my last newsletter 10 days ago we've all witnessed an avalanche of dark and tragic news, with a few "points of light" (as Glenn Kirschner likes to say) here and there. I'm collecting the stories of brave people standing up to the "White House of Bullies" and featuring them on the home page of our website. Hopefully these stories will give others hope and courage.

As always, please keep browsing the website for new additions. Here are some highlights of new developments and initiatives:

• Images, videos and stories of successful opposition to Donald Trump et al.

• A powerful coalition called INDIVISIBLE held a great Zoom call/YouTube livestream with over 20,000 participants on 2/2/25, and they have an ACTION LIST that anyone can plug into immediately. Please check it out! Most urgent: stop the confirmation of Russel Vought.

• Protests announced at NOON (some states have other start times) on 2/5/25 at STATE CAPITOL BUILDINGS in all 50 states.

• As Jessica Denson emphasized in her last Lights ON show on 1/31/25, please sign the petition to impeach Donald Trump

• John Page, who is suing Trump and Justice Roberts for participating in an illegal inauguration (since Trump is constitutionally disqualified from the Presidency), is still looking for attorneys who would be interested in representing this suit as a class action. Please contact him if you can help.

• I've added some helpful emotional support resources to the website. In particular, this article entitled "Do no lose heart - we were made for these times" is so beautiful! It awakens the Peaceful Warrior within us, and encourages us to ride that "Peace Train" with confidence.

Staying connected with many of you directly, whether via phone calls, voice texts or chats has helped me enormously in this oppressive time. Thank you for riding with me on this beautiful Peace Train. See you again at the next station!

P.S. Click here for some extremely comic relief - a compilation of "dogs raiding the Treasury" and getting caught! Make sure you have the sound on when you watch. I imagine some mammoth "Martian" suddenly standing behind Elon Musk as he raids our country's Treasury, and reprimanding him loudly in the Martian language. How I would love to see that!
